![]() With all the cuts that SBCC is facing, the college needs new ways to close the budget gap. SANTA BARBARA, CA (Catholic Online) - However, on Monday night, board officials agreed to give summer classes the thumbs up due to having over 4,000 students already enrolled this summer and international students depending on summer school. Dr. Jack Friedlander, the school's president, recommended that summer sessions take place as planned. The board agreed with Friedlander, bringing a lot of relief on campus. However, the college will have to find ways to make up for the budget gap due to the campus facing multi-million dollars in cuts from the state. Ideas include cutting more classes next year, employee salary cuts, a lower cap on enrollment, and a new parking fee. © 2012, Distributed by NEWS CONSORTIUM. - - - Pope Benedict XVI's Prayer Intentions for January 2013 General Intention: The Faith of Christians.
