![]() Come join and celebrate Earth Day festivities this weekend! SANTA BARBARA, CA (Catholic Online) - Starting this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Earth Day event will continue on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year marks the 42nd year that the Community Environmental Council has hosted the event, established during the 1969 oil spill. Hundreds of organizations and businesses are participating, with their staff out on both days. A food court will be open both days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be both local and regional exhibitors offering organic smoothies, sandwiches, veggie burgers, Thai food, fresh pizza, and much more. Starting from 2 to 6 p.m. on both days, Firestone Walker Brewery will be serving local wines and its new "805" brew in the Earth Day Gazebo. A kid's corner will also be present. It will be featuring arts and crafts, face painting, a marine touch tank, and more.
