![]() Bones Brigade: An Autobiography (2012) directed by Stacy Peralta. Santa Barbara International Film Festival premiered the film, Bones Brigade: An Autobiography. The film is a documentary which features one of the most famous and influential teams in the history of skateboarding. Stacy Peralta, filmmaker and skateboard legend, told the memorable progress of six young teenage boys, who eventually became the best of their sport, of their generation, setting records upon records. Without these legends, skateboarding wouldn't be a multi-million dollar industry as it is today. Peralta, who also filmed Dogtown and Z-Boys, kept this film very formal and restrained, using interviews and a recurring theme of family necessity. Being an autobiography, this film is non-bias, and reflects on Peralta\'s growing maturity as the film\'s style is almost the exact opposite of his other films such as Dogtown, which was very flashy and had viewers witness the destruction of the team. © 2012, Catholic Online.
